Lets go to the Jugra Hill, Banting

Last Saturday, my family and i were going to the Jugra Hill, Banting to get fresh oxygen. But before we went to the top of the hill, we were visiting Istana Bandar which was built on 1905 and was inspired by Sultan Alauddin. This palace was built by masterful craftsmen from China that were shipped in and their skills in the making of wooden carvings, adding a dash of Chinese brilliance in the general overall artistry. The designed was very fascinating and there are unmistakable marks of Islamic influence in its aesthetic design, a delightful blend of Indian and Middle Eastern elegance.

After that, we went to Jugra Hill which is famous with the activity of paragliding. There is a lighthouse that is opposite to the Straits of Melaka at the top of the hill. Unfortunately, we have to call the owner of the paragliding company and make a reservation first we want to do it. There are two ways to do paragliding at the Jugra Hill, which are Tandem Paragliding, where one expert para-glider will fly with you around 10 to 15 minutes with the price of RM120 per fly and Paragliding Certificate which need four days to learn about theory, ground handling, tandem rides and two solo flying with the price of RM1500 per certificate.

Next, after we going down, we found Institu Jugra Museum. We did not know there is museum there, so, we decided to take a look inside the building. This museum is derived from two story Old Police Station that was used as a place to carry out executions according to British Judicial System. It was built on 1875 using granite by Captain Harry Charles Syers, British police officer.

We went to the nearest restaurant to eat and went back home after that.
